A Seleção Americana foi apresentada ao final da competição e Missy Franklin com cinco provas individuais mais três revezamentos é o grande destaque. Natalie Coughlin venceu os 50 livre e se classificou para aquele que será o seu sexto Mundial de Longa. É a mais veterana entre as mulheres com 30 anos. Na equipe feminina, Katie Ledecky que vai nadar os 200, 400, 800 e 1500 livre mais o 4 x 200 livre é a mais jovem com 15 anos de idade. Entre os homens, Anthony Ervin aos 32 anos é o mais veterano e vai para o seu segundo Mundial voltando depois de 12 anos. No grupo, três nadadores de 19 anos são os mais jovens da equipe: Kevin Cordes, Nic Fink e Chase Kalisz, todos fazendo sua estréia em Mundiais.
